An exceptionally rare and striking piece of authentic End Of Day sea glass from Seaham Beach, featuring deep brown tones with a dramatic dark central band visible through the glass when backlit.

This is a genuine multi-layered End Of Day piece, created accidentally during the glassmaking process when leftover coloured glass fused together at the famous Seaham bottleworks many decades ago. The result is a beautifully unusual marble-like appearance with rich amber, brown, smoky black, and honey tones flowing through the piece.

When held to the light, the internal banding becomes especially vivid and eye-catching, giving the sea glass an almost glowing appearance.

Naturally shaped and frosted by years in the North Sea, the piece has developed a smooth matte surface while still retaining the incredible internal colour variations that make End Of Day glass so desirable among collectors.
